Think about these 3 dimensions when choosing a package:
Productivity Level
How big your team is, how many concurrent projects your team handles, and how fast and efficient you must be, defines what functionalities you need.
Example:
You work in a CAE team that works close to the Design team. There’s 2 Simulation Experts in your team that should know how to use Dive. You receive frequent cases to simulate and must report back with strict deadlines, often on overlapping projects.

You need multiple users, parallel simulations, the Python API to set up simulation studies and post-process in batch, and access to the in-app renderings to communicate the result properly.

Note: Pre- and postprocessing (setup and analysis) of existing simulations don’t consume computing hours.
Compute Capacity
The number and size of your projects will demand a certain amount of simulation hours.
Example:
You simulate gearboxes. A typical simulation runs for 3 seconds, with 1L of oil at a 0,7mm resolution, with a max. velocity of 15m/s. This simulation on average takes 7h.

You can expect to use around 500 SimH this year, somewhere between ESSENTIALS and PRODUCTION.
Note: Technical support is included in all license tiers to make sure that every simulation is a rewarding experience.

You’ll need GLOBAL GROUP
Every team space is equipped equivalently to an “ENGINEERING” license. This reduced IT administration overhead and assures productivity of all respective enigneering teams.

How many SimH & Storage do I need?
Estimating how many SimH you need will depend heavily on the use cases you analyze, how often you do so, and what kind of simulation studies you and your team are running. The average runtime on our platform is 2h with a storage of 200GB. If you need more, you can simply purchase add-on for SimH and add-on Active Storage or Archive simulations.
Do you have Test or Trial Licenses?
If you want to get started, you can simply opt for the on-demand license and start simulating. Your access can be created in less than 1 hour. If this license is too limited and you know a different one fits your needs better, reach out to us and we can discuss your journey. Book a Demo.
Can I get a license for a shorter period?
The flexibility of the cloud is a big leverage you can use here. You can purchase a yearly license and use your SimH, Storage and Service within a single project! If you have a different arrangement in mind, reach out to us. If what you need is maximum flexibility, you can opt for an On-Demand License together with a few bundles.
What happens if I run out of SimH or Storage? What if I have leftovers?
If you opted for a DCC, you can allocate some of your budget to SimH, Active Storage, or Smart Archive some simulations.
You can also at any point purchase On Demand Bundles of SimH and Storage. These have a validity of 1 year.
If the end of your period comes and you have unsued SimH from the included SimH, they will only be carried over in a multi-year contract.
Can I have a version of Dive installed locally?
No, Dive is a Cloud-Native software, and it needs to be on the browser for it to be leveraged to the fullest. All the types of parallelization in Pre-, Compute and Post-processing are not possible for On-premise software.
