There is three major decision factors:
Compute Hours
Throughout the year, the number and size of your projects come with a certain demand for compute hours.
Example: Your simulations are small (2h / sim). For a single project, you run 12 different simulations of varying operating points and designs. You know about 3 projects already and another two might come in spontaneously:
You expect a consumption of less than 200 simulation hours throughout the year.
Note: Pre- and postprocessing (setup and analysis) of existing simulations don’t consume computing hours.
Service Level
Depending on your demand for quality and productivity, you would want to choose between different service levels.
Example: As an expert, you plan to unlock more simulation use cases for your organization. This is why you appreciate a trusted contact person that proactively informs you about updates, shares insights about modelling capablities or limitations, and supports you with your ambitious projects.
You expect “STANDARD” as the minimum service level that meets your expectations.
Note: Technical support is included in all license tiers to make sure that every simulation is a rewarding experience.
Team Spaces
Large organizations need to separate and manage the accessibility of data and compute budget.
Example: Your organization has centralized the procurement of CAE software. You supply one expert team that serves as a global competence centre plus three design teams. All should work within their own workspaces restricting data access for other teams.
The “GLOBAL GROUP” license plus one additional teamspace fullfills your needs.
Every team space is equipped equivalently to an “ENGINEERING” license. This reduced IT administration overhead and assures productivity of all respective enigneering teams.
